Comic Strips are commonly accepted as "the Ninth Art" according to a serie of articles "Ninth Art, museum of comics" published under the signature of Morris in the journal of Spirou.

About 90 minutes for a full visit.

- Is the museum wheelchair accessible? Are there wheelchairs available to the public?
The museum is accessible and adapted to the needs of people in wheelchairs. This includes the restrooms. As well, we have a few wheelchairs available (free of charge) for visitors’ well-being.
Top of page- Where is the closest parking for the museum?
It is possible to park in front street and along the Boulevard. The parking is regulated (blue zone). It is possible to park for free in the adjecent streets of the Museum.
Top of page- Are there any hotels near the museum?
The Plasky Hotel is situated in front of the Museum on Avenue Eugène Plasky 212. A number of other hotels, in all categories, are located nearby, including several within walking distance.
Top of page- Why can’t we keep our backpacks on as we go around the museum?
Some sizes of bags are prohibited in the exhibition galleries to prevent accidental damage to the works and guard against theft. That is why the security guards will ask you to check your bags at the cloakroom (free, supervised service). Please also note that food and beverages are strictly forbidden in the galleries, once again to protect the works.

It is not allowed to take photographs in the exhibition galleries because the reproduction of artworks is protected under Belgium copyright law, and in order to prevent the works from deteriorating through repeated exposure to flash.
Top of page- May we draw a reproduction of an artwork during a visit to the exhibition galleries?
No problem. There are even benches available in the exhibition galleries. Please note, however, that no additional lighting is allowed.

No, unfortunately. The website is not transactionnel or secured therefor.

The MooF has been inaugurated on 14 May 2009. After being housed in different locations in Brussels, it moved to a building specially designed to meet its needs.

The Moof is entirely financed by private funds. Corporate sponsorships provide further financial support for the museum, as do ticket sales.

In addition to many other privileges, Friends of the Musée enjoy free mailings of the Journal of the Museum, the seasonal calendar of events, and invitations to openings and special events.
By becoming a Friend of Moof, you set off on an adventure full of emotions and packed with surprises. The collection (with its more than 3 000 works), exciting temporary exhibitions and special events await you all year long. Besides the many privileges, your membership helps to enrich the permanent collection of the only museum devoted exclusively to the 9th Art.

Sunday from 10h30 till 15h30
